Have always bought H.P. glossy paper for printing photos and have been delighted with results. However, this paper is the least glossy I have ever had and it makes the printed photo very dull indeed. In fact, it rather resembles the Matt finish I have already. Cannot fault seller who delivered the well wrapped package promptly. Sadly, pretty disappointed this time. Certainly way below the standard I expect from a company like H.P. Come on folks--must do better.I used this paper to print the Orders of Service for my father's funeral. I was expecting to have to get them printed to get acceptable quality but in truth using this paper with my new HP Photosmart 5520 printer the quality was indistinguishable from print quality. The Order of Service included colour photos and text. I was amazed how well the colour photos turned out and the text was razor sharp. The 180 g paper is ideal for this sort of application - I printed on A4 and then folded the two sheets into an A5 size booklet which I then stapled. Very, very pleased and had many compliments on the finished result.Although in fairness not an unusable purchase, I do think this would have been less of a surprise if it had been explicitly described by weight as a heavy brochure paper. It also has a really unpleasant feel to it; almost sticky to the touch.Was really looking for a brochure paper comparative to the glossy ultra smooth type you encounter in magazines and mail-shots - and even on my regular junk-mail!Having committed to two boxes of the stuff it has sat virtually unused since my sacrifice to fork out for it; You live & learn.Although it is called 'Glossy', this is NOT what most people would call glossy, and not what other manufacturers supply as glossy. It has more of a satin finish. I wouldn't recommend this for blacks, they come out a little wishy-washy, but for lighter tones it gives really good results.I use this for most colours but use proper glossy paper for predominantly black items. This has a textured surface, whereas good glossy paper is smooth and shiney.I use this paper for DVD & Blu-ray covers as I produce professional Blu-ray & DVD for customers that expect the best (corporate or otherwise) although I print on a non HP printer the colours are very well matched to what is on my screen (which is Colour calibrated), the other reason it is double sided that also looks quality when put in the sleeve.
